Springfield Plastics welcomes Day Drainage, Inc as the first members of its new Trusted Tiling Partner program.
Awarded to companies celebrating their business anniversary, this program highlights the quality and dedication to the work done in the agricultural tiling industry.
“We have been working with Day Drainage since 1989 and are excited to make them the first members of our Trusted Tiling Partner program,” said Jennifer Furkin, vice president of Springfield Plastics. “A big part of Springfield Plastics’ success is due to our customers and the pride that they take in delivering the best tile drainage systems in the country. We are happy to recognize Day Drainage and appreciate the strong, long-term relationships we have with them.”
Day Drainage was started in 1961 by Clyde and Rose Day of Gibson City, IL when they bought their first trencher. Their children, Ed, Dan, Larry, Scott, and Sandra have all participated in the business since then. Today, the company is owned by Dan and Scott Day. Dan’s daughter, Kristin, serves as the company’s office manager.
“My dad started this business with a few strict guiding principles – provide an excellent product to the landowner, be disciplined in the length of a workday, and stay connected to the industry. These principles have contributed to our success and opened many doors for us,” said Dan Day.
Day Drainage is involved with local Soil Conservation Services and was a pioneer member of the Illinois Land Improvement Contractors Association, Inc.
“Investing in proper drainage is one of the best management practice decisions a farmer can make,” said Scott Day. “The quality of Springfield Plastics’ pipe is superior to others. Their service and support is unmatched. We have worked hand in hand, growing together and providing the best service possible to customers.”
