Drain for the Cure
Every October, Springfield Plastics holds its Drain for the Cure fundraiser to raise money for cancer research and prevention.
Like so many of us, Springfield Plastics has been affected by cancer, whether it touched family members or employees. After losing an important family member to breast cancer, our family-oriented business decided to turn our personal tragedy into a passion: Drain for the Cure.
The annual fundraiser is held throughout the month of October, and Springfield Plastics reaches out to customers, vendors, business partners, and the communities we serve to raise money for cancer research and prevention. The funds raised are donated to Simmons Cancer Institute (Illinois), HSHS St. John's Children's Hospital Pediatric Cancer Care Unit (Illinois), John Stoddard Cancer Center (Iowa), and Indiana University Melvin and Bren Simon Comprehensive Cancer Center (Indiana).
