| This requires the drainage lines in the field to be properly spaced. The spacing of the drainage lines is dependent on the permeability of the soil. The lower the permeability the closer the drainage lines are spaced. It is also necessary for the drainage lines to be installed with grade (slope). This is critical to the operation of the system. Laser grade control systems are now recommended to insure proper grade control. Subsurface drainage systems typically don’t require the level of maintenance that a surface drainage system requires. Springfield Plastics, Inc. has all of the items you need to properly install your subsurface drainage systems including single and dual wall plastic pipe, fittings and accessories. These products are manufactured to stand up to the tough demands of the agricultural drainage system.
