The TufCor Meter Pit is a double wall corrugated outer/smooth inner drum manufactured from high density polyethylene plastic.

The corrugated outer wall is made up of tightly formed corrugations which give the pit very high impact resistance. The smooth inner wall is bonded to the outer wall which makes the pit very rigid and strong.

Springfield Plastics, Inc. has now introduced the TufCor+ meter pit. This is a meter pit very similar in construction to the original TufCor but weight has been added to make the unit even stronger than the TufCor. This meter pit is great in highly demanding situations.

Both the Tufcor and TufCor+ designs allow the meter pits to be lightweight but very strong. White pigments are used in all meter pits up through 24” in diameter. These pigments contain UV light stabilizers to protect the meter pits while being stored outside.
